Hello, I am Lee Jeehyun with the latest weather updates. It's been quite a rough December this year. Just when we thought we'd get some brief relief from the severe cold snap, a blizzard swept across Korea earlier in the day and a heavy snow advisory was issued for central parts of the country. Snow in Seoul seems to be letting up and the rest of the country will also see snow letting up by the mid-afternoon. Northern parts of Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do provinces could see the heaviest snowfall of up to 15 centimeters, while the rest of the country will see 1 to 8 centimeters. Afternoon highs will hover near seasonal norms, Seoul at 4 degrees Celsius and Busan at 9 degrees. Despite warmer highs, wet roads can quickly freeze over and the evening commute could feel colder than this morning. Another powerful cold front is set to move in tomorrow. Making matters worse, Jeolla-do provinces and Jeju, where heavy snow has already piled up, are forecast to get another round of massive snowfall through the weekend. With that, here's a look at the weather conditions around the globe.
