Cold wave conditions will continue for the next few days. Large parts of central regions are still under cold wave alerts. Morning temperatures will stay cold at minus 6 degrees Celsius in Seoul tomorrow, but by Saturday afternoon temperatures will return to the seasonal average. With frigid winds accompanying at times, temperatures will feel lower than the actual readings. For parts of the central regions, light snowfall will continue. Southern Gyeonggi-do and northern parts of Chungcheong-do provinces will see light snowfall of 1 centimeter. The surrounding regions, including Seoul, and parts of Gangwon-do Province will see snowflakes flying around. With overnight temperatures staying in the minus range for most regions, frost and ice will cover the roads. Driving conditions will be dangerous, so please be extra careful. Expect partly cloudy to overcast skies for the morning. Seoul will start off at minus 6 degrees. Daily highs in Seoul will reach 1 degree. Gwangju 5. Busan 8 degrees. The cold wave will take a brief respite for New Year’s Day on Sunday. The 5-day forecast calls for clear skies for the capital region.
