The largest school district in Washington State is taking on social media, and not in the way you might expect!
Seattle Public Schools is taking on THE COMPANIES, filing a lawsuit against the entities behind Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, SnapChat, and YouTube!
The suit alleges that social media companies design their platforms to get youth addicted, and maximize the time they spend on them.
It also notes that school districts are one of the main providers of mental health services for students, and they need more resources to deal with the problems caused by these platforms.
