Good afternoon. A cold spell from Siberia hit Korea yesterday on the last day of the Seollal holiday with a cold wave warning in place pretty much everywhere.
Even Busan saw lows below minus 10 degrees Celsius this morning Meanwhile Jeju is having an even tougher day with heavy snow 5 to 10 centimeters of further snow is in store there throughout the day.
Daily highs are slightly higher today, Seoul topping out at minus 6 degrees, Daegu at minus 1 degrees under sunny skies in most parts except on Jeju Island.
The cold snap will ease a little tomorrow but nationwide snow is in the forecast across Korea. Central parts of the country will see heavy snow of 2 to 7 centimeters, Incheon and the west coast could see more than 10 centimeters of heavy snowfall.
