Good afternoon. Spring warmth is in full swing, temperature gaps are easily surpassing 15 degrees from the morning temperatures, it must be feeling like going through two seasons in one day for those in Gyeongju, from winter to early summer-like with highs jumping 23 degrees this afternoon.
Many southern parts of the country are having highs above 20 degrees Celsius under sunny skies nationwide. The early glimpse of mid-spring weather is enjoyable but not so much the dusty and dry air.
Stagnant air flow and dust from overseas are creating dustier conditions today.
Also, dryness in the air is showing no sign of easing up. 70% of this year's wildfires broke in just one month with nationwide accumulated precipitation of less than 15 millimeters. We have some rain in the forecast on Wednesday but it won't be enough to relieve the dryness in the air.
Don't put away your winter jackets just yet, abnormally warm temperatures will come to an end next week after nationwide rain that's in the forecast for Sunday.
That's Korea for you, here's a look at the international weather conditions.
